How fast does my eSIM activate?

Scan the QR from your order email and your phone provisions the eSIM profile — typically under a minute. Your data line goes live the moment you connect to a local network in Global, usually right when you land.

What if my Global eSIM doesn't activate?

Email support@esimgenius.ai with your order number. If we can't get it working for you, we refund in full. No phone calls, no support gauntlet, no fine print.

Will it work on my phone?

Any phone with eSIM support. That covers iPhone XS (2018) and newer, Pixel 3 and newer, Galaxy S20 and newer, and most modern unlocked Android phones. If Settings shows an "Add eSIM" or "Add cellular plan" option, you're compatible. Carrier-locked phones from US carriers may need unlocking first.

Do I need to set anything up before I travel?

Buy whenever — even at the airport. We recommend installing the eSIM at home over WiFi (the install just saves the profile, it doesn't start the plan yet). The validity counter only starts when you first connect to a local network in Global, so installing early doesn't burn any days.

Can I use hotspot / personal hotspot / tethering?

Yes. Hotspot is enabled on every plan — share your connection with a laptop, tablet, or travel companion's phone the same way you would on your home network. Counts against your plan's data quota; no separate "hotspot" allowance to worry about.

What happens if I run out of data — can I top up?

Yes. Top up any time from your account: pick another plan, pay, and the data is added to the same eSIM within seconds. No new QR code, no reinstall. Works for every plan we sell, including the regional and global ones. The top-up's validity counter starts when the data starts being used, same as the original plan.
